    Vendor/Exhibitor/Sponsorship Opportunities 

     39th Annual MOTA Conference

    October 4th, 2019


    The Maryland Occupational Therapy Association Conference Committee would like to invite you to explore various sponsorship options available at the 2019 MOTA Conference.  We welcome the opportunity for your company to highlight its products and/or services.    


    Sponsorship is available if you are unable to make it to our conference.  We want to be able to offer the most cost effective packages for our sponsors.  We also hope to recruit some new vendors this year and initiate a more intimate, yearly relationship with all our friends of MOTA.

    Exhibition Opportunities


    Exhibitor Bronze  $300

    • Unopposed vendor time will be offered
    • Showcase your company’s products and/or services by securing a table in the Exhibit Hall.
    • Incentives for attendees to visit all exhibits will be provided by MOTA.

    • Two conference lunches include in the price (additional lunches are $25.00 per person, per day).

      MOTA is now advertising for presentation submissions for this year's Conference!  


      Conference theme:  "Quantity to Quality: Transitioning to Value-Based Therapy"


      Registration Open:  May 10th - July 5th

      (Proposals will not be accepted after July 5th)



      Benefits of Presenting at Conference

      Important Details:

      • Submissions are due by July 5th and will be reviewed based on accuracy, completeness, currency of topic and currency of evidence based references.
      • Submissions will be reviewed and all presenters will be notified of their presentation status by July 19th
      • After submissions are accepted for presentation by the conference committee, presenters will receive a contract to sign and return by July 26th in order to confirm participation and agreement with the terms and conditions of the 2019 MOTA conference.


      Audio Visual Needs:

      • Presenters (excluding posters) will be provided with a screen and LCD projector
      • Presenters will need to bring own laptop
      • Any additional equipment needs must be supplied by the presenter

    How Occupational Therapists can help clients choose a Home Modification Plan that meets their needs

    INSTRUCTOR

    Tori Goldhammer, MS, OTR/L, ATP, ECHM, CAPS, CEAC has been the owner of Living at Home Consultations for 10 years.  Currently she is the Clinical Manager of multi-million dollar grant based home modification program she launched in Washington DC in 2016.  Tori has been an occupational therapist for 19 years. Tori has authored numerous articles, co-authored a chapter in Occupational Therapy text book and standardized, evidence based Occupational Therapy assessment.  She has been interviewed by local newspapers, NPR’s Marketplace the American Occupational Therapy Association.  Recently she is co-author of an article in peer review journal as part of a Johns Hopkins team assessing home safety.  Tori has extensive training in fall prevention and environmental modifications for physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities. 


    COURSE DESCRIPTION

    Through discussion of evidenced based research and a local home modification program, occupational therapists (OT’s) will learn how to advocate for their services as part of a comprehensive home modification and accessibility plan.  OT’s in all areas of practice will be able to utilize the concepts learned at this class for discharge recommendations, short term impairments and long term disabilities.  The course will be held in a contractor’s showroom. Participants will have hands on experience with many of the solutions discussed during the class.

    Bring examples of cases where your patient was limited by their home environment.


    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • 1.      Identify 2-3 adaptations to a home that can be used for accessibility vs. remodeling
    • 2.      Provide 1-2 recommendations for specific impairments for safety and accessibility
    • 3.      Identify 2-3 funding sources for home modifications
    • 4.      State 2-3 reasons why it is important to incorporate a therapist in a home modification plan
