Join our team as a Senior Occupational Therapist:


The Senior Occupational Therapist will evaluate and subsequently plan and execute programs for children with neuro-motor, sensory integration, autism, developmental delay and emotional disturbances. The OT IV will work with and supervise occupational therapists and assistants and participate in intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for affiliating students, staff, and trainees.  The OT IV will consistently maintain appropriate student and department records.  Administrative supervisory responsibilities include ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, performance appraisals, goals setting, progressive discipline, work/leave schedules and day-to-day workplace interventions and problem resolution.  The OTIV will also contribute to the development of school documentation, clinical policies and procedures specific to program areas, as well as educational leadership initiatives. Responsible for at least one specific clinical/research/administrative component within the Department.

It is an intensive, 12-month program that focuses on providing a highly structured and safe environment that helps students to participate in and derive benefit from educational programming

JOB ID: 3004  Started in 2007 at the request of Montgomery County Public Schools, the Montgomery County campus of Kennedy Krieger School serves students in grades 2-8 who are working toward a high school diploma, and students aged 7-21 who are seeking a certificate of completion.  While the program extends preference to students from Montgomery County, it also accepts referrals of students from other jurisdictions.

Qualified applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, Masters is preferred and be eligible for a license to practice occupational therapy in the State of Maryland.  Five years licensed experience in pediatrics and/or rehabilitation and treatment is required.
